Change the World

At CBCYG, our motto is "Change the World."

This motto came from a series in which we looked at the lives of the disciples of Jesus.

There is much evidence to suggest that many of the disciples were fairly young - probably teenagers. This is very encouraging for those of us who work in youth ministry or are considered youth ourselves. We see that in Jesus' ministry, he didnt ask his disciples simply to follow him around and watch him do ministry - He had them share in his ministry! He sent them out to do ministry for themselves! He trusted and believed in them to do great things for God!

In a very similar fashion, we see Paul the Apostle encourage his young friend Timothy to not let his young age be a detterent to his ministry. In 1 Timothy 4:12, Paul writes to Timothy;

"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young,

but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity."

We at CBCYG don't believe in telling our students that they are the "future church".

They are the Church. Period.

We believe that they can Change the World. well as tomorrow.
