Walker memorial
Prayer
The memorial service for Norm & Marilyn`s daughter, Peggy, will be on Wednesday, September 3rd at 6:00 PM at the South Olive Christian Reformed Church (6425 120th Ave, at the corner of Port Sheldon and 120th).  Thanks for your prayers for the family at this time.

Walker Family
Prayer
Norm & Marilyn`s daughter, Peggy, passed away Thursday night at around 9PM.  We have prayed many times for Peggy before and her very long fight with cancer.  She knew Christ as her savior and so the family is taking comfort in the fact that she is with God today!!  Please pray for the entire family now as they mourn their loss.  Pray for peace and encouragement.

8/17/2008
Becky Sterley`s dad
Prayer
Please continue to remember Becky and the rest of the family in your prayers.  The condition of Becky`s dad hasn`t changed much.  He is slowly weakening more and more, and really has not been out of bed now for almost 5 months.  Pray for peace for her dad, and for his wife, Becky, and the whole family.

8/15/2008
Al Wolf
Praise
Al's procedure on Thursday went great! The cardiologist started with a low voltage, but Al's heart responded on the first "zap". Within 10 minutes he was back awake and feeling a little groggy at first but otherwise fine. The heart monitor left no question...not only was his heart beating more evenly, but at almost half the rate too! Praise God! Al was told to take it easy the rest of Thursday but other than that he is cleared to do whatever he feels like. Pray now that his heart stays in this regular rhythm. Thanks for your prayers!

8/14/2008
Andy Gabler`s mom
Prayer
Andy`s mom has been dealing with a serious infection on her nose this week.  A biopsy showed that the infection is the same MRSA that affected her foot so severely a few months ago.  She is on agressive antibiotics and the infection seems to be clearing up, but please keep her in your prayers...MRSA is very serious! Pray too for Andy`s dad, who is very anxious about the situation.

8/10/2008
Richards family
Prayer
Alicia`s grandmother passed away this past week.  This is, of course, always a difficult time, but some members of the family are having a particularly hard time dealing with the loss.  The funeral is planned for Monday the 11th.  Please pray for peace and comfort for the entire family as they mourn.

8/5/2008
Murl Wilterdink
Prayer
Murl`s surgery to remove his bladder is scheduled for September 17th, in order to give his body to recover some from the chemotherapy.  Pray for Murl as he awaits this date!  Pray for his peace of mind, for recovery for the effects of the chemo, and for the surgery itself.

8/5/2008
Al Wolf
Prayer
Al (who still has been dealing with atrial fibrilation) will be going in for the procedure to shock his heart back into a normal rhythm on Thursday, August 14th.  Pray for Al and for this procedure.  Pray not only that his the procedure itself is successful, but that his heart then STAYS in a normal rhythm afterward.

7/25/2008
Skip Faber
Prayer
Skip (who was back at home) fell down today and broke her right collarbone.  Of course, it was her LEFT arm that had been broken before, so she is fairly incapacitated now.  She is back at the Laurels for a short-term stay to ensure that she gets the care and help that she needs right now.  Please pray for Skip!  Pray for quick healing, and pray too for her spirits as she is a little discouraged right now.

7/24/2008
Skip Faber
Prayer
Skip`s arm has been healing well, but she has been having a VERY difficult time sleeping.  She has long had Restless Leg Syndrome, and takes medication to help with that, but even with an increase in the dose of the medication, she is unable to sleep much more than a couple of hours a night, which leaves her feeling exhausted.  She would very much appreciate your prayers in this matter!

7/24/2008
Murl Wilterdink
Praise
Murl got great news this week! Before starting this week`s chemo treatment (his fourth), the oncologist told him that the chemo has worked well and that this would be the last week of it. This was a big relief for Murl!! The next step will be the surgery which is scheduled for September 17th, (to give his body a few weeks to recover from the chemo effects.) Praise God for this answer to our prayers!!

7/19/2008
Sandi Geurink`s cousin
Prayer
This request from Sandi Geurink:  She has a cousin Jim who lives in Fresno, California, whose wife, Melissa, was just killed in a car accident.  It sounds as if she had a seizure and ran into a tree at high speed.  Two of their three kids (age 11 & 14) were in the car with her and are in the hospital in serious condition.  Please pray for Jim and the kids recovering from this terrible accident.  Pray for comfort for them!

7/9/2008
Becky Sterley`s dad
Prayer
Please continue to remember Becky in your prayers, and her dad, Charles.  He is still hanging in there, but is often up and down from day to day.  Hospice care is still attending to him, but Becky`s stepmom has the lion`s share of the care, with Becky helping out as she can.  Pray for Charles, and for the entire family during this difficult time.

7/7/2008
Sheri Gillhespy
Prayer/Praise
Sheri had the surgery to repair her knee today, and everything went great!  The surgeon was pleased with the results and by 4:00, Sheri was at home and in great spirits.  Praise God for yet another answer to prayer!  Pray now for the recovery and the pain that may be associated with it.  Sheri will need to stay in bed for 2 days, and then will start to rehab the knee.

7/3/2008
Chris Leaym
Prayer
Chris has an aunt named Judy in the Detroit area who is very ill.  She has gone into the hospital and is not expected to live long.  Please pray for Judy right now, and pray for Chris and the rest of the family as they deal with this situation.

7/3/2008
Skip Faber
Prayer/Praise
Skip`s surgery went very well!  The bone was realigned and the plate attached with a number of screws, and everything went just as planned.  Skip was resting in her room afterward...sleepy but in good spirits and feeling fine.  Pray now for her recovery.  The nerve block will gradually wear off and she may start to experience more pain in her arm/shoulder.  The tentative plan (as long as she is feeling ok) is to release her late Thursday to the Laurels, where she would stay until she is able to go back home.  Thanks for your prayers!

7/2/2008
Skip Faber
Prayer
Skip is having surgery to repair the break in her upper arm (near the shoulder) on Wednesday afternoon at Holland Hospital.  They will re-align the two halves of the bone and then put a plate in to keep it in place.  Please pray for Skip, for a smooth surgery, and for her recovery afterwards.

6/28/2008
Murl Wilterdink
Prayer
Continue to remember Murl in your prayers!  His white blood counts have been back up, (which is why he was able to be in church last Sunday), but at the same time the side-effects of the chemo are starting to be more noticable.  Pray for strength and encouragement for Murl!

6/28/2008
Paul Harney
Prayer/Praise
Paul`s eye is still inflamed, but it is doing much better.  He will probably be on the eye drops for another 5 weeks to ensure it clears up completely.  In the meantime, he MAY have a developing cataract, but the opthamologist won`t know for sure until the inflammation is completely gone to see how advanced it is.  Thanks for your continued prayers for this situation, and praise God that it has improved so much!

6/24/2008
Skip Faber
Prayer
First of all, I misspoke on Sunday.  Skip`s shoulder is not dislocated, but her arm has another break up near her shoulder.  Sorry for the misunderstanding!  As for now, it sounds like she will not undergo surgery.  The ortho surgeon looked at it and put her in a cast that goes from her hand to about 3/4 of the way up her arm.  She will stay at the Laurels at least until next Monday.  Please continue to pray for Skip`s arm and for the pain that she has right now.

6/23/2008
Becky Sterley
Prayer
Becky`s dad, Chuck Bailey, has been in poor health for quite some time and now hospice care has told the family that his body is shutting down and he probably has only a matter of days.  Please pray for Chuck and his wife Sharon, as well as Becky and the entire family as they deal with this very difficult time.  Pray especially for peace and comfort for them.

6/21/2008
Skip Faber
Prayer
Skip was in Saugatuck on Friday with Lynn Wendt, and was just about to get back in the car when she tripped and fell on some uneven ground. It sounds like she broke her arm fairly seriously and it may require surgery.  She is at Holland Hospital.  Please pray for Skip; for her arm to be healed and for relief from the pain.

6/20/2008
Ken Gillhespy
Praise
Ken`s surgery today went very well.  While they will need to wait a few days for the full pathology report, the surgeon was farily confident that the mass removed was NOT cancer, but was just a benign growth of some sort.  Praise God for this answer to prayer!  Thanks for praying for Ken and continue to pray for the recovery from the surgery.

6/17/2008
Travis Seibt
Prayer
As we announced on Sunday, Travis (Jeff and Jen Norder`s nephew in Chicago) is now home, which is nice.  However, he is increasingly feeling the effects of the chemotherapy too.  To add to the stress of things, Travis` dad found out Monday morning that he lost his job.  Please continue to pray for this family and all they are going through!  Pray for Travis` health and healing, and pray for the job situation and finances.

6/17/2008
Jen Norder`s dad
Prayer
We mentioned Jen`s dad on Sunday, who had what was thought to be a TIA on Saturday.  Since then, they think that is not what happened, especially since the MRI showed no damage that would normally have been present after a stroke or TIA.  Instead, they now think that he had a Transcient Global Amnesia episode.  They are treating him for hypertension and high cholesterol.  Thanks for your prayers for him at this time!

6/17/2008
Ken Gillhespy
Prayer
Ken will have the surgery to remove the new mass in his groin area on Friday at 9:00.  Pray for a smooth surgery, and pray especially that the mass is not cancer!  Pray too for Sheri, who will be having an MRI on Tuesday to make sure her recent fall didn`t damage her back or hip.

6/17/2008
Paul Harney
Prayer
Please pray for Paul!  He developed pain in his eye last week that was originally attributed to an abrasion on the surface of his eye and treated with antibiotic.  However, after a few days it was still hurting.  Another visit to the doctor showed that something was not right, so he was referred to an opthamologist, who diagnosed Paul with a severe case of uveitis, (which is inflammation of part of the eye).  Untreated, this can lead to glaucoma or even blindness.  He is currently taking steroid eye drops once per hour, and meanwhile his eye is still painful and very sensitive to light.  Pray for healing in Paul`s eye and that he will recover quickly from this!

6/17/2008
Gillhespys
Prayer
Ken has a son, Tim, whose family is fairly out of control right now.  He has a wife and 3 kids.  Please pray for their situation that God would intervene and heal the family!  Pray too for Ken and Sheri and their interactions with the family.

6/13/2008
Phil Barber
Prayer
Thanks for your prayers for Phil and his family.  Phil went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday morning.  Please continue to pray for Betty and the rest of the family as they deal with their grief.  Visitation is on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 at Reyers North Valley Chapel (2815 Fuller NE in Grand Rapids), and the memorial service will be on Saturday at 11:00AM at Rush Creek Bible Church.

6/13/2008
Ken Gillhespy
Prayer
Ken went in on Thursday to have a biopsy on a lump that developed in his groin area.  The doctors were concerned because this is the area where lymph nodes had metastasized melanoma before.  They were unable, however, to get a good biopsy sample, so instead they will schedule a surgery to remove the mass, (which is now TWO masses).  Please continue to pray for Ken!

6/8/2008
Scott & Dawn Rodgers
Prayer/Praise
This morning, on their way to church, the Rodgers, (along with Nicole, Arielle, and new baby Ellia) were in a car accident. Someone ran a stop sign and the Rodgers hit them broadside. Praise God, everyone (in both cars) avoided serious injury and experienced nothing more than some cuts and bruises. Thank God for His protection! Pray now for the family as they rest and recover...they are all stiff and sore.

6/8/2008
Phil Barber
Prayer
Many of you know Phil and Betty Barber.  Phil, who led the trips to Puerto Rico for many years, was diagnosed with cancer a few years back.  On Saturday, he collapsed and was taken to the hospital.  He has been discharged and sent home with hospice care.  Please pray for Phil and Betty during this time!

6/8/2008
Holly Ratski`s friend
Prayer
Holly has would appreciate your prayers for her friend named Joshua who was a previous employee and someone she mentored.  He has fallen on hard times and really needs God`s intervention.  Please pray for Joshua.

6/8/2008
Frank Suidinski`s grandsons
Prayer
Please remember Frank`s grandsons, Joey and Sawyer, in your prayers as Frank has some concerns about their health and welfare.  Pray that God would guard and protect them and provide for what they need!

6/2/2008
Lee Vanderband
Prayer
Lee passed away Sunday at around noon at The Laurels.  His health deteriorated very quickly in the past few days, but we can rejoice with the family that he is with our Lord today!  Please pray for his wife Norma, daughter, Shirley (Hinken) and the entire family during this time as they grieve.  Visitation for Lee will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Grandville Cook Funeral Home.  The funeral will then be Wednesday at 2:00.  Thanks for your prayers for the family!

5/29/2008
Norders` nephew
Prayer
Jeff and Jen have a nephew, Travis, (Jeff`s sister`s son) who is 12 and had been having trouble breathing.  The doctors just discovered that he has a large mass on the upper lobe of his right lung that has been pushing against his trachea.  No more news yet on what the mass is...more tests will follow.  Please pray for Travis, that he would be healed completely, and pray for his family who are obviously concerned right now.

5/26/2008
Tom Raisanen`s mom
Prayer
Tom`s mom passed away on Monday morning.  Tom was able to be there with her...he drove through the night and arrived at around 2AM.  Shellie and the kids are there too, so it was a real blessing that they were all able to be there!  Please pray now for Tom and the entire family during this time of grieving.  You may remember too that Tom`s dad just passed away recently, so this has been a tough time on Tom.  Pray for comfort and peace.

5/24/2008
Gabe Richards
Prayer/Praise
Gabe was released from the hospital and on his way home on Saturday!  Praise God he is doing well enough to let him go home.  Alicia reports that he feels better and just seems more back to normal.  He still has not kicked the virus completely and will continue to be very contagious for a few more days.  Please pray for further healing for Gabe, and that the rest of the family will not get the virus in the meantime.

5/23/2008
Ellia Saudyn Rodgers
Praise
Scott and Dawn have reported from Florida...it`s officially a girl!  They are rejoicing in the arrival of Ellia Saudyn Rodgers, (Brandon and Nicole`s baby), who joins her big sister Ariel.  The timing was perfect; Scott and Dawn were about an hour away when Nicole went into labor!  Both baby and mom are doing great.  Praise God for the safe arrival of Ellia, and for the fact that the proud grandparents are able to be there!

5/23/2008
Gabe Richards
Prayer
Please pray for Gabe, who was diagnosed with a fairly accute case of rotavirus.  He had been very sick with flu-like symptoms, and when Alicia took him to his doctor, he was sent to the ER, and they admitted him at Butterworth.  He spent Thursday night there and will remain there at least through Friday night too, while they try to get him rehydrated.  Please pray for healing for young Gabe!

5/21/2008
Scott & Dawn Rodgers
Prayer
Remember to keep Scott & Dawn in your prayers as they travel down to Pensacola, FL to visit with Brandon, Nicole, and of course their new granddaughter, who is due on the 23rd.  Pray for safe travel and for Scott with his pain and difficulty walking.  Pray too for Nicole and baby and for a safe birth.

5/21/2008
Murl Wilterdink
Prayer
Murl officially started his chemotherapy treatment on Wednesday.  (You may remember he was going in on Tuesday, but that ended up being all preliminary stuff.)  He had roughly 8 hours of treatment Wednesday, and will then have 1 hour Thursday and 1 hour Friday.  Then he will have 2 weeks off.  After that he will repeat the whole process...possibly for a total of 5 or 6 times.  So far he has done very well, and was feeling good toward the end of the first marathon treatment.  The doctor told him that as it continues, however, he is likely to have more side-effects like nausea.  Please continue to pray for Murl and for these treatments!  Pray for strength and encouragement and that he will not have too many adverse side-effects.

5/21/2008
Sheri Gillhespy
Prayer
Sheri would very much appreciate your prayers!  Her left knee, right hip, and lower back are all in an awful lot of pain which has only been increasing.  She is still waiting for results from the MRI she had last week.  Pray for comfort for her and pray that the doctors will be able to treat the issue soon.

5/14/2008
Tom Raisanen`s mom
Prayer
Tom received a call today telling him that he should try to get up to see his mom (in the U.P.) as soon as possible.  Her health has been steadily declining and now her blood pressure and oxygen level are very low.  Pray for Tom and the rest of the family during this time.  Pray for comfort for his mom.  Pray too for Tom`s schedule and working out how best to get up north, and for safety traveling.

5/7/2008
Murl Wilterdink
Prayer
The decision has been made that Murl will have 2 months worth of chemotherapy BEFORE he has the surgery to remove his bladder.  The chemo has not been scheduled yet and Murl does not know how often it will be, but they will likely start as soon as possible.  Thanks for continuing to pray!!

5/7/2008
Rhonda Raab
Prayer
Rhonda is still in the hospital as they try to get her infection under control.  After having a particularly tough day on Monday, she is now feeling better, although she is still in pain.  They have her on IV antibiotics and are changing her wound dressing regularly.  She will likely not come home any earlier than Friday, and will then need to continue changing the dressings for a while at home.  Please continue to pray for this extensive infection and that Rhonda will continue to improve and be able to go home soon!

5/6/2008
Murl Wilterdink
Prayer
Tuesday, Murl was told by his urologist that the cancer in his bladder is a very rare form of small-cell cancer, and he was referred to an oncologist.  It seems fairly certain that they are now going to want Murl to undergo chemotherapy...the question is whether that should be done before or after the surgery.  This is again jarring news to hear!  Please continue to pray for healing for Murl and for comfort for he and Virginia as they wait to meet with the oncologist.

5/5/2008
Scott Rodgers
Prayer/Praise
The radiation treatments have already had some effect at shrinking the tumor on Scott`s spine, so much so that with the help of a walker, he was able to be at church on Sunday!  This would not have been the case just a few days ago, so this is a big answer to prayer!  Thanks for your continued prayers for Scott.

5/5/2008
Murl Wilterdink
Prayer
Just a reminder that Murl goes in for his consultation with the doctor on Tuesday this week.  Your prayers for guidance and for healing are much appreciated!

5/5/2008
Rhonda Raab
Prayer
After feeling great for a few days after her surgery, Rhonda started to not feel so well on Friday.  By Saturday, she was in a lot of abdominal pain and had a fever.  Sunday afternoon it was evident that the problem was not getting better so they went to the ER.  A scan showed that she has a fairly extensive infection in her abdominal cavity.  She was admitted to the hospital Sunday night and will be on IV antibiotics and may require a drain for her abdomen for a while.  Please pray for God`s healing in Rhonda`s body!

5/1/2008
Scott Rodgers
Prayer
Two separate doctors that Scott has seen in the past (his pain doctor and an oncologist) both said that he needed to immediately start radiation treatments.  The concern is that if they do nothing to stem the growth of the tumor(s) on his spine that he will rapidly begin to lose more function.  He started treatment late Wednesday night and had his second treatment on Thursday.  He will have a total of 10 treatments during the upcoming weekdays.  They wanted Scott to be admitted to the hospital during the whole 2 weeks, but thankfully Dawn was able to talk them out of that, so he is able to be at home!  Please continue lifting Scott up in your prayers!

4/30/2008
Scott Rodgers
Prayer
The Rodgers got the results back from Scott`s MRI which showed that his cancer has metastasized into his spine.  This is what has been causing his back pain and is now causing him to be unable to walk.  Please pray for Scott, Dawn and the family...this was hard news to receive.  The doctor has suggested hospice care for pain management, but they are still deciding whether that is their best course of action.  Meanwhile, pray for peace and comfort for the Rodgers, relief for Scott`s pain, and wisdom in their decisions.

4/28/2008
Ken Gillhespy
Prayer
Please offer up your prayers for Ken today!  Ken and Sheri just received news that the area removed from Ken`s back was NOT basal cell cancer but was instead melanoma, and that they did not get all of it.  Ken has been scheduled for a surgery today (Monday) at 3:00 at the dermatology clinic to go deeper and attempt to remove all of the melanoma.  Please pray for the Gillhespys and for Ken`s surgery today!  Pray that they are able to remove the melanoma completely today.

4/28/2008
Ken Gillhespy
Prayer
Thanks for your prayers for Ken`s surgery today.  The surgery went well; the dermatologist is very thorough and checked and double-checked everything.  The procedure went well...Ken is in some pain, but that was expected since she took a fairly large piece of him!  Other than that he is doing fine, and the doctor believes that she got all of the melanoma out.  Pray now for the wound to recover well, (not to mention his kidney stones which he still has).

4/24/2008
Scott Rodgers
Prayer
I know that many of you continue to pray faithfully for Scott, which is very much appreciated!  The latest is that he is now unable to walk.  His legs are all "rubbery" and he has no sensation in them.  They are going to try to get him a walker that will help him.  Meanwhile, he is still in a LOT of constant pain.  Please pray for Scott...for healing and for encouragement for him!

4/23/2008
Rhonda Raab
Prayer/Praise
The issue that Rhonda was having turned out to be with her appendix so they performed an appendectomy at 3AM Wednesday morning.  The surgery went very well and Rhonda is doing just fine.  She was discharged Wednesday afternoon and is resting at home.  Praise God for the fact that they were able to catch this before it was a bigger issue and that the surgery went so well.  Pray now for her recovery over the next few days.

4/22/2008
Rhonda Raab
Prayer
Rhonda was admitted to Butterworth hospital earlier today for observation.  She doesn`t feel too awfully badly, but went in because of some persistent abdominal pain she has had.  The doctors are performing scans and running tests to try to find out what the issue is.  Please pray that they are able to diagnose the problem and that it is not a serious issue.

4/21/2008
Frank Suidinski`s stepson
Prayer
Frank`s stepson was close friends with Jon Beaulieu, who was killed in an automobile crash yesterday.  Please pray for the family and friends who are grieving right now.

4/18/2008

Marybeth`s surgery went as planned and she is home and doing well!  She is in some pain, but that was to be expected.  Thanks for remembering her in your prayers, and please continue to pray for her recovery in the coming days.  Praise God for the successful surgery today!

4/18/2008

Remember that Marybeth`s surgery to remove her gall bladder is on Friday.  The surgery is at 8AM and is an outpatient procedure.  Please remember her in your prayers and pray that everything goes smoothly and that she recovers quickly.

4/15/2008
Murl Wilterdink
Prayer
Murl has just been given the news that he has an aggressive form of bladder cancer.  They removed a bladder tumor, but the biopsy showed that it is into the muscle wall of the bladder and that as agressive as it is, Murl`s bladder will need to be removed.  He doesn`t know exactly when yet...he will have a consultation to go over specific options and will know more then.  Please keep Murl (and Virginia) in your prayers!  Pray for wisdom in the decisions they need to make and that the surgery will remove the cancer and Murl will be competely healed.

4/14/2008
Marge Koning
Prayer/Praise
Marge went home to be with the Lord at about 4:45 this morning.  She passed away peacefully, at home with her family there.  Our hearts and prayers go out to Ken and Sue, as well as Bonnie (Sue`s sister) and the rest of the extended family as they mourn their loss.  However, we can rejoice with them too!  As Ken put it, "She is watching the sunrise with the Savior today!"  Amen!!  Pray for the family this week, especially Sue and Bonnie.  More details will follow, but the visitation will likely be Friday afternoon and evening with the service at CBC on Saturday afternoon.

4/12/2008
Marge Koning
Prayer
Please continue to remember Marge in your prayers.  She is back at home, (she came home Thursday afternoon), and is now in hospice care.  Her health has continued to deteriorate, but they are keeping her comfortable.  Pray for comfort and peace for Marge right now, and please remember the entire family during this time.

4/12/2008
Biloxi Team
Praise
As I type this, the youth team that travelled to Biloxi is about an hour away from home.  They have had a great week, and very much appreciate your prayers while they have been gone.  We will hear a full report from the team soon.  In the meantime, praise God for a safe and successful trip!

4/9/2008
Marge Koning
Prayer
Thanks for your continued prayers for Marge.  Please continue to pray for her and for the entire family as they discuss their options.  Marge`s kidneys continue to be failing, and she is extremely weak, and they are discussing whether it might be best for her to go into hospice care right now.  Pray for wisdom in this decision, and keep praying for Marge and her health.  Pray too for the family during this hard time!

4/9/2008
Jana Van Dyken
Prayer
Please pray for Jana.  She will be going in for a kidney biopsy on Friday afternoon, and will need to stay overnight.  Some of her blood values are not quite where they ought to be and they want to make sure her kidneys are doing okay, (since Lupus can affect the kidneys).  Pray for a smooth procedure, for a favorable outcome from the biopsy, and also for peace and calm for Jana between now and then.

4/3/2008
Biloxi Trip
Prayer
Please pray for the youth group that will be going to Biloxi over spring break to help with ongoing hurricane relief there.  They leave on Saturday morning (the 5th) at 8:00 and will return the following Saturday night.  The youth making the trip are Jessica Fox, Sammie Mys, Jordon and Jonah Sherstad, and Tim and Rob Walker.  Also going are Jason and Stacey Price and Ryan Geurink.  Please be in prayer for the team...for safe travel, for their spiritual growth, and for opportunities to minister.  If you would like to join us at the church Saturday morning at about 7:45 to pray together and send them off, that would be great!

4/3/2008
Marybeth Molenkamp
Prayer
After her consultation, Marybeth`s surgery was scheduled for April 18th.  Originally they had talked about doing it ASAP, but the sense of urgency seems to be a little lower now.  In the meantime, Marybeth feels fine!  Pray for the upcoming procedure, and pray that she doesn`t have another flareup between now and then.

3/31/2008
Marge Koning
Prayer
Marge went to the emergency room again on Monday and has been readmitted to the hospital.  The visiting nurse came earlier to check on her and found her blood oxygen level dangerously low, and she was unable to raise it at the house, so they got her to the hospital.  Please pray for Marge and for healing, and pray for wisdom for the doctors treating her.

3/31/2008
Marybeth Molenkamp
Prayer
Pray for Marybeth who was in the emergency room overnight Saturday night because of extreme pain caused by gall stones.  The doctor decided that the best course of action is to remove the gall bladder completely, and that will probably be done on Monday.  Please pray for a smooth surgery and a quick recovery and pray for her comfort.

3/22/2008
Pathway Bible Church
Prayer
Pastor Craig appreciates all your prayers for the church that he and a small group have started in Phoenix.  Please continue to pray for wisdom and direction right now as they discuss what steps they should be taking next.  Pray too that they will continue to grow.

Ken`s mom was admitted to the hospital this past week for some intestinal problems.  She is evidently showing some improvement, but is still in the hospital for now.  Please remember her in your prayers, that she will be healed and able to go home soon!

Marge Koning
Prayer
Marge was admitted to Blodgett Hospital Monday night.  She had a doctors appointment earlier in the day.  The doctor sent her to the hospital for some testing with the concern that she maybe had pneumonia.  The tests were negative for the pneumonia and now they are wondering if the issue is in her heart.  On top of this, she of course is still dealing with failing kidneys.  Please pray for Marge`s health and for wisdom for the doctors treating her.

Priscilla Bronkema`s friend
Prayer
We have prayed in the past for the grandsons of Priscilla Bronkema`s boyfriend.  They are both quite young (3 & 6 I believe) and both have had heart transplants, followed by long and difficult roads to recovery.  The older boy, Caleb, has passed away.  Please pray especially for his parents, Maurice and Jenny, during this extremely difficult time.  Pray too for their younger son Cameron, that his heart transplant will be accepted by his body.
